Operation "Trail Dust"
The Spirit of the American Cowboy Foundation's Operation "Trail Dust" is a remarkable combination of two seemingly unrelated things: a respectful look at an important part of our country's history, the Great American Cowboy and the cattle drives of the Old West, and a fundraising tool for critical pediatric cancer research applications.
One can imagine, when looking back into history, just how thirsty the cowboys of the Old West must have been at the end of hours and hours on the dusty cattle trail, riding horseback over rough and dangerous terrain as the herd was being moved ever so slowly toward the end of the trail.
It is with a respectful tip o' the Resistol to the forebears of today's professional rodeo cowboy that we have created Operation "Trail Dust".
At the New England Wild West Fest™ and other events in which the Foundation is involved, along with other events who particiate in the program, we contribute a portion of the proceeds from all bottled water sales to the Magic Water Project.
So, drink up, enjoy the show, and know that by supporting Operation "Trail Dust", you're providing vital support for research and treatment for one of the most vicious and deadly forms of cancer there is, neuroblastoma.

Why the name?
How do you explain chemotherapy to an 18-month old girl? One girl's parents called it "magic water" -- magic water that would make the pain in her legs go away. They promised her the pain would go away and it worked for 3 years.
When the magic water stopped working and their little girl asked if the next round of magic water would help the pain go away, the parents could only reply that they hoped it would.
We are dedicated to fulfilling that wish of finding a magic water that will make all the pains of cancer go away.
